The Responsible AI Master Class is a 6-part course which is structured to provide all the necessary information and tools to enable the participants to comprehend and deal with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a responsible way. Each 2-hour session focuses on an important element of AI, such as AI principles, AI use cases, ethical considerations, and the applicable regulations for UK businesses, to provide the attendees with a comprehensive learning experience that is principles based and practical at the same time.Participants are encouraged, but not required to attend all sessions.

The course is subdivided into six sessions and each of them  starts at 10am and will end at 12pm on the day. 

 28/02/25: AI Basics: Concepts and facts about Artificial Intelligence

• Introduction to AI concepts, history, and types (e.g.: early applications of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, etc.)

• Real world applications of AI in various industries, benefits delivered and concerns.

· Examples from large organisations and from small and mid-sized businesses 

28/03/25: AI Ethics: The key challenges and how to address them (now open for enrollment)

· Ethical principles: fairness, accountability, transparency, and privacy.

· Case studies based on real-life examples

· Discussion on the ethics of algorithms and measures taken to prevent algorithms’ biases.

25/04/25: Solving business problems with Responsible AI

· AI Governance: Establishing frameworks for ethical AI deployment and monitoring.

· Risk Management: Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with AI implementation.

· Case Studies: Real-world examples of responsible AI applications in business.

· Tools and Techniques: Practical approaches for ensuring responsible AI in business contexts.

· Impact Assessment: Measuring the social, ethical, and business outcomes of AI-driven solutions.

23/05/25: Enhancing Trust in the market: AI, Privacy, Data Protection and Cybersecurity

• Understanding the UK and the International regulatory landscape data privacy laws and regulations as they relate to AI.

• How to enhance customers and employees trust and ensure compliance at the same time

• Best practices and tools for secure and trustworthy AI data handling.

• Case studies

23/06/25: The AI Regulatory Landscape (UK and International)

• Overview of the current regulations (e.g. EU AI Act) and regulatory trends in the UK, US and internationally.

• The underlying regulatory principles and country specific approaches (e.g. transparency, AI literacy, risk based approach

• What this means for UK based businesses who want to use and/or are already using AIs

• Case studies on how companies are addressing a diverse set of AI regulatory requirements

18/07/25: Implementing Responsible AI in the Workplace

Massimo brings 30+ years experience in responsibly designing and delivering technology solutions to business and work related challenges. This Master Class is suitable for those who hold management positions in companies or are entrepreneurs, practitioners, policymakers, and other professionals who are deploying or are considering deploying AI in their organisation who want to go a step further and gain better insights into the possibilities offered by AI.
